Cow's milk (and casein intolerance)

Following research states that when one has a casein intolerance (protein in cow's milk), that the antibodies in our bodies also attack a protein called MAG (myelin-associated glycoprotein). This protein is either important for the myelin in the central nervous system and for the myelin in the peripheral nervous system. Although this is a recent finding, and this hasn't been tested for HNPP, it might be worth to replace cow's milk for a few weeks in order to find out if this makes a difference. There are a lot of alternatives. Please check with a medical professional if you want to replace cow's milk.

Supplements

in progress

There are different supplements that support (or claim to support) the nervous system.
Unfortunately, there is no research on supplementation and the results in people with HNPP. Below you will find some supplements that are on the various social media pages or online. I can't stress enough that you always have to consult a medical professional before taking supplements. Every patient is different.
